We’re Steve and Dan, your resident Boo-Foons. Together, we plunge headfirst into the paranormal soup of haunted houses, spectral legends, alien oddities, cryptid sightings, and the occasional “what even is that?” moment. If it’s mysterious, we’re investigating it. If it’s ridiculous, we’re probably laughing at it.
And if you’re wondering where to start? Well…
How about the time we travelled to bonny Scotland to hunt a three‑headed giant, Red Ettin? Or when we racked up imaginary air miles chasing ghostly brides around the world in Women in White? Maybe you fancy something aquatic like diving into Māori legend in Taniwha, or revisiting the UK’s most chaotic Boxing Day UFO incident in Aliens of Boxing Day.
From haunted paintings (Henrietta Nelson) to witchcraft museums, fairy cattle, boggarts, and a pub crawl so haunted we needed a designated spirit guide, every episode is a new adventure, and every adventure is delightfully unhinged.
But don’t expect solemn candlelit séances or serious-faced ghost hunters. This is The Boo-Foons: part podcast, part pantomime, all passion. We mix folklore with foolishness, history with hilarity, and theories with tomfoolery, because the unknown deserves a bit of fun.

The Boo‑Foons sit down with Chris Whitehouse from the YouTube channel Whitehouse Investigations. This week is a feature length episode to fit as much in as possible. Chris is a man with sixteen years of ghost hunting experience, countless nights spent in haunted locations, and more Ouija board stories than we could fit into the episode. Welcome to Boo-Foons Off the Case. The series where Steve and Dan let their hair down and just chat.
This time, Steve and Dan head to Cardiff for the Doctor Who Experience, only to discover that museums have a habit of assuming Dan needs special support. The Boo‑Foons make an unexpected return to their mini mysteries segment with a tale of English Civil War ghosts haunting Peterborough, before chaos strikes again as Dan gets told off in the woods for reasons he still refuses to accept responsibility for. Meanwhile, Steve reveals his two truths and a lie… including the story of a famous BBC TV star who mysteriously followed him around as a child. It’s a journey through museums, forests, ghosts and questionable life choices, all delivered with classic Boo‑Foons chaos.
