Welcome to The Boo-Foons Mystery Investigators Podcast!
Step inside the wonderfully weird world of The Boo-Foons…
Where ghost stories meet giggles, and no mystery is too bizarre for a proper nosy.
We’re Steve and Dan, your resident Boo-Foons. Together, we plunge headfirst into the paranormal soup of haunted houses, spectral legends, alien oddities, cryptid sightings, and the occasional “what even is that?” moment. If it’s mysterious, we’re investigating it. If it’s ridiculous, we’re probably laughing at it.
And if you’re wondering where to start? Well…
How about the time we travelled to bonny Scotland to hunt a three‑headed giant, Red Ettin? Or when we racked up imaginary air miles chasing ghostly brides around the world in Women in White? Maybe you fancy something aquatic like diving into Māori legend in Taniwha, or revisiting the UK’s most chaotic Boxing Day UFO incident in Aliens of Boxing Day.
From haunted paintings (Henrietta Nelson) to witchcraft museums, fairy cattle, boggarts, and a pub crawl so haunted we needed a designated spirit guide, every episode is a new adventure, and every adventure is delightfully unhinged.
But don’t expect solemn candlelit séances or serious-faced ghost hunters. This is The Boo-Foons: part podcast, part pantomime, all passion. We mix folklore with foolishness, history with hilarity, and theories with tomfoolery, because the unknown deserves a bit of fun.
And now, we’re branching out…
Off The Case.
Our new Saturday show where we’re not investigating anything. Just two Boo-Foons, off-duty and off the rails. Expect relaxed chats, daft ideas, and the kind of nonsense that only happens when Steve and Dan are officially Off The Case.
Off Our Patch.
The Boo-Foons’ Off Our Patch is the official hub for every adventure that happens away from home base. Guest appearances, crossovers, collaborations, and chaotic cameos, this is where we step into someone else’s world and bring our trademark energy with us.
The Boo-Foons Discord.
We’ve got a Discord now! Come join the Boo-Foons crew for spooky fun, folklore chats, and ghostly giggles. It’s the perfect place to hang out with fellow fans and catch sneak peeks of what we’re cooking up next. Float on in and say hello.

Off the Case: Are We the Baddies?
NEW: The video version of this Episode is now available on YouTube
Welcome to Boo-Foons Off the Case. The series where Steve and Dan let their hair down and just chat.
Steve and Dan dive head first into the messy world of comedy censorship, and what starts as a calm discussion quickly spirals into a full blown rant about the dangers that come with shutting people up.
From banned jokes to sanitised stand up, from “you can’t say that” moments to entire scenes being scrubbed out of films, the Boo‑Foons break down how censorship creeps in, how it shapes culture, and why it matters more than ever. What begins as a chat about comedy’s changing landscape becomes a fiery, funny, and surprisingly serious exploration of who gets to decide what’s allowed… and what happens when that power goes too far.
The Video Files
Welcome to the The Boo-Foons Mystery Investigators very first Video Files adventure. We headed to the historic Higgins Museum in Bedford, armed with curiosity, questionable focus, and an EMF reader that Dan definitely didn’t use properly.
Were we expecting ghosts? Absolutely.
Did we find any? Not even slightly.
Did we get distracted by… well, everything else? Constantly.
Join us as we bumble our way through creaky corridors, Victorian artefacts, and our inability to stay on task. It’s chaotic, it’s curious, it’s very Boo‑Foons.
